If you have previously registered a horse, please call or e-mail us so we can ensure you are in our records. desertnorman@cogeco.ca or (613) 547-6990.

This website represents a resurrection of the DNHR, which was rendered inactive in 2003 when its founder, Peggy Stockbridge, encountered unstable health, and could not continue managing the registry’s upkeep. Software mishaps also resulted in many of the original records being lost.

The registry is up and running again, thanks again to Peggy and a beautiful Desert Norman horse born on her Deansboro, New York farm in 2003. When the delighted new owner of this horse contacted her in 2008 to find out more about him, the ensuing conversation led to an arrangement to pass the registry’s reins to a new coordinator, Kay Langmuir.

The registry’s base of operations is now located in the Canadian province of Ontario, just across the border from where it was founded in New York State. But it knows no geographical limits as it continues to encourage, inform and unite Desert Norman owners and breeders throughout the world.
